How will I make a difference?

As Strategic Account Manager, you will be the first point of contact for assigned accounts across all relevant Valpak services. The role will be pivotal to the management and retention of Valpak’s existing and future strategic customers, engaging at the right level within the customers’ business to ensure an ongoing relationship with Valpak.

The Strategic Account Manager will take on a portfolio of strategic accounts with services across Valpak, such as Compliance, Data Management and International Compliance. They will manage the account both internally and externally, ensuring that all relevant Valpak staff across various departments involved with the account work together and are supported. The Strategic Account Manager may also be required to take on senior level projects focusing on improvements to Valpak’s existing services and operations, and new or emerging services.

What will I be doing?

Managing a portfolio of accounts and being the dedicated point of contact, you will:

  • Have a Strategic customer focussed approach that builds a strong working relationship with the customer, and provides excellent customer service
  • Use your excellent communication skills to:
    • bring together operational account managers across the business to provide a consistent and smooth Valpak service to accounts
    • Manage all internal stakeholders within Valpak to ensure the needs of the account are met
    • Build up knowledge of various compliance regulations and commitments via research/building relationships with contacts
    • Deepen your understanding of the customer requirements and the industries they operate in
  • Utilise your strong business development skills to:
    • Use knowledge gained from customer interactions to identify new areas where Valpak services can help the customer
    • Focus on customers’ experience of Valpak and champion service enhancements that will retain customers
    • Help to grow the business and cross sell to existing customers
  • Be proactive and poses a solution orientated problem solving ability to:
    • identify service development areas, supporting a culture of continuous improvement
    • recommend, negotiate and implement solutions that benefit all stakeholders
    • Project manage new initiatives focusing on improvements to Valpak’s existing services and operations, and new or emerging services
  • Be resilient to high volumes of communication and pressure from Strategic accounts
  • Have a full, manual driving licence (or working towards) to enable you to travel to customer sites
