Valpak’s Use of Cookies

Valpak’s websites and online services (‘Platform’) may use “cookies.”

This policy outlines the cookies that may be set when visiting our Platform, alongside the purposes of use for these cookies. The Platform is owned and operated by Valpak Limited (‘we’, ‘our’, ‘us’ as applicable). For further detailed information about this Platform, please click here to see our Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.

By continuing to use this Platform, you are agreeing to our use of cookies in the manner described in this policy.

What is a Cookie?

Cookies are text files containing small amounts of information that are downloaded to your device when you visit a website. They are then sent back to the originating website on each subsequent visit, or to another website that recognises that cookie. Cookies are useful because they allow a website to recognise a user’s device. You can find more information about cookies at: and for a video about cookies visit

Cookies do lots of different jobs, like letting you navigate between pages efficiently, remembering your preferences, and generally improving the user experience. They can also help to ensure that adverts you see online are more relevant to you and your interests.

Because cookies are used throughout our Platform, disabling them may prevent you from using certain parts of the sites. If, however, you wish to restrict or block the cookies that are set by this Platform (or, indeed, on any other site) you can do this through your browser settings. The ‘Help’ function within your browser should tell you how. If you are primarily concerned about third-party cookies generated by advertisers, you can turn these off by going to the Your Online Choices site at

The cookies used on our Platform have been categorised based on the cookie guidelines produced by the ICC UK. We use the following categories:

Category 1: Strictly Necessary

These cookies are essential to enable you to move around the website and use its features, such as accessing secure areas of the website. We have a legitimate interest in the use and storage of these cookies for the technically flawless and optimized provision of our service and to carry out the electronic communication process in the functions you require.

Category 2: Performance Cookies

These cookies collect information about how visitors use a website, for instance, which pages visitors go to most often, and if they get error messages from web pages. These cookies don’t collect information that identifies a visitor. All the information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous. It is only used to improve how a website works.

Category 3: Functionality Cookies

These cookies may be used to provide services such as our Live chat function. The information these cookies collect may be anonymised and they cannot track your browsing activity on other websites. Click here for more information.

Category 4: Targeting Cookies or Advertising Cookies

Valpak uses GatorLeads a tool that identifies the business or organisation that website visitors belong to, based on a reverse IP Lookup. GatorLeads also uses cookies to process this identification, and personal information about individual users is stored. Cookies used by GatorLeads store information about your current web browsing session (pages viewed, time on site, etc.) and the dates and times of previous website visits. This information is used by Valpak to profile website visitors, to better understand the way in which our website content is viewed by different segments. It is also used to identify the types of organisations that might be interested in attending our Best Practice Seminar Series.

This website also uses tracking software to monitor its visitors to better understand how they use it. This software is provided by Google Analytics which uses cookies to track visitor usage. The software will save a cookie to your computer’s hard drive to track and monitor your engagement and usage of the website, but will not store, save, or collect personal information. You can read Google’s privacy policy here for further information [ ].

The legal basis for the processing of personal data in connection with Targeting Cookies or Advertising Cookies (if any) is the user’s consent.

We may make changes to this Cookie Policy at any time by posting a revised version on the Platform. We recommend you revisit this page regularly to keep informed of the current version of this Cookie Policy. Your use of the Platform means that you agree to be bound by the current version of this Cookie Policy.
The current version of this Cookie Policy is v.1. This Cookie Policy was most recently updated on 9 October 2023. Please check back frequently to see any updates or changes to this policy.
