What do you need to do?
There are several options available to ensure that you are compliant with RoHS including:
Product testing
Producers can arrange for their products to be tested in order to assess levels of restricted substances. Undertaking regular product testing is the most comprehensive approach a company can take to demonstrate their compliance with these regulations.
Compliance declarations
Producers can request a Declaration of Conformity from the manufacturer of each product or component.
Product labelling
Recent changes to the RoHS Directive means that it has been brought into scope of the CE Marking Directive. This means all products that are required to be RoHS compliant should have the CE Mark on them.
You should use 'due diligence' to implement the most relevant compliance process.
