recycling website joins forces with the DTS
July 2007
recycle-more.co.uk, the UK's top online recycling information resource, provided by Valpak Ltd, is enjoying a very successful year, with the launch of a new WEEE recycling section and a record number of hits to the website!
recycle-more.co.uk is very proud to now offer waste electrical recycling information to consumers on behalf of members of the Valpak Distributor Take Back scheme (DTS).
From 1 July DTS members have been directing their consumers to the recycle-more website. As well as tips, facts and recycling advice, consumers can type their postcode into the UK's most comprehensive recycling bank locator to quickly, and easily find their nearest designated collection facility.
The ever-increasing popularity of the website reflects the growing interest in what both individuals and members of organisations, can do to help protect our environment.
Valpak Chief executive, Steve Gough commented, 'We are very proud of the service that recycle-more offers and I think this is reflected through consumer interest in recycle-more.co.uk rocketing from 2.5 million in 2006 to 2 million in the first 7 months of this year.' He added, 'expanding the expertise on recycle-more to include the recycling of WEEE has already generated a large amount of public interest, and is an important step in aiding local authorities to increase recycling targets.
In the UK the amount of electrical waste we create in one year would fill the new Wembley 6 times. We are eager to convey this message to consumers, and provide relevant recycling information to encourage everyone to recycle more.'
recycle-more.co.uk has been providing valuable recycling information to consumers on behalf of Valpak packaging members since 2000. It advises on a whole range of recycling issues, which is accessed by consumers, schools, businesses and local authorities. The move to represent members of the DTS on the website is an important step to provide a comprehensive online recycling information tool.
