Packflow is a major project carried out by a working partnership
between Valpak, material organisations,
Department for
Environment Food and Rural Affairs (Defra),
The
Industry Council for Packaging and the Environment (INCPEN)
and
The Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP)
and others, including
Scottish Environment Protection
Agency (SEPA),
Environment and Heritage Service
(EHS),
Environment Agency (EA),
Department for Environment
Transport and Regions (DETR), and the
Department
for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform (BERR).
It provides a comprehensive review of Local Authority and commercial
packaging recovery and performance over the last number of years
in the UK.
It includes such topics as waste management, packaging and packaging
waste recovery, re-used packaging, imported packaging, leased/hired
packaging, and the role of a material levy.
