Recycling organisation, Valpak Recycling (North West),
has recently opened a free recycling facility for the local community.
The materials recovery facility (MRF), based in Grimsargh, Preston, decided to open its gates to the community and provide an accessible recycling point for householders and local businesses. It offers an easy route for recycling of household and trade waste helping local businesses to reduce costs by avoiding charges often associated with business waste.
You can bring paper, card, plastic bottles, plastic film, glass and batteries. Everything collected is sorted for recycling and the materials could even be made into new products.
To complement this new facility, Valpak Recycling (North West) has set up a Facebook fan site to display details of the site, including opening times and directions. Simply go to www.facebook.com and search 'Valpak Recycling North West'. The site also offers the opportunity for fans to post comments and receive news and updates in their Facebook news feeds.
Duncan Simpson, Director of Sales and Marketing, Valpak, said:
"Valpak Recycling is delighted to be supporting the local community through this Recycling Centre. We wish to make it as easy as possible for householders and trades people to recycle their unwanted items and waste while simultaneously helping the community to do their bit for the environment."
The centre is open from 6am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays. If you would like to find out more about Valpak Recycling's Community Recycling Centre please call 01772 791 791 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
