• WEEE Environment Agency audit preparation guide

  It is the role of the environment agencies to regulate the UK Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations. One of the ways which the agencies regulate WEEE producers is through compliance monitoring, where data submission and data calculation methodologies are reviewed to ensure that they meet the accuracy requirements of the regulations to be ‘as accurate as reasonably possible’ (AARP). Should the agencies wish to conduct a compliance monitoring visit with you, they will contact you directly to arrange a suitable time and date.

  The Environment Agency (EA), Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) aim to audit each company obligated under the Packaging Waste Regulations every three years. If any of these bodies wish to visit you to discuss your data submission they will contact you directly to arrange this.
