All obligated battery 'producers' / manufacturers pay a set registration fee which goes direct to the relevant environment agency. This fee is £680 for large battery producers.
In addition to the agency registration fee,Valpak charges a small membership fee to cover the administration costs of running the battery producer compliance scheme and service costs.
Battery recycling levies are also charged to cover the costs of collecting and recycling your share of waste batteries, which are calculated in proportion to your tonnage of battery sales.
