The following describes how Valpak gathers and disseminates information for the Valpak website. (Please note that this site contains links to other sites and that Valpak is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites or their operators.)
Valpak is committed to protecting the privacy of your business and its employees, while providing you with the opportunity to receive products and services that enhance your business activities and the benefits you receive from Valpak's services.

We collect data from you ('User Data') in various ways:
- when you register to use the Valpak services
- by our use of 'Cookies' (see section C below)
- during the course of your use of Valpak services, and those of third parties available through the service, and
- when we request further information from you from time to time following on from registration
You may obtain a copy of your User Data held by Valpak by contacting us and requesting a copy, but we do require at least 14 days notice to enable us to comply with the request.
Once you have registered as a member with us you will no longer be anonymous to us: you will have your own personal user name and password and will be able to navigate our website as you wish. If you contact us we may also keep a record of that correspondence and we may, from time to time, ask you to complete a Customer Satisfaction Survey to assist us in improving our service to you.
A cookie is a small chunk of information sent by the Valpak Web server to the Web browser software being used by its 'Users', which enables the Web server to collect information back from the Web browser. Valpak will use 'User Data' we collect from you only in accordance with the following guidelines:
To provide the Valpak service to you
We will use 'User Data' to provide and improve our e-business service to you, to enable our Contact Centre to deal with any queries you have about our service, to notify you of any changes to our service or our Member Agreement, and to process payments.
We will need to provide data about you to delivery companies and others who are involved in providing our service to you.
To send you information about our other products & services
From time to time, Valpak, or third parties acting on Valpak's behalf, may wish to send you information about other products and services which we offer and we believe you may be interested in and we may use 'User Data' for this purpose. If you decide now, or at any later time, that you do not wish to receive this information, please email us on email@example.com.
To include user data in anonymous statistics
Valpak may provide anonymous statistics about our 'Users', sales patterns and related usage information, to reputable third parties, but these statistics will not enable any third party to identify individuals or individual businesses.
To provide data to third party providers
Valpak may pass 'User Data' to third party providers of products and services to enable them to provide you with their services or products. Valpak does not permit such third parties to use your 'User Data' to market its own products or services independently of the Valpak services, but you may have given them consent as part of your direct relationship with the third party in question.
Sharing with the Valpak group of companies
Valpak may make 'User Data' available to other members of the Valpak group of companies, either for the fulfilment of Valpak services, or to enable them to provide you with information about products or services which they believe would be of interest to you.
If Valpak ceases to trade or goes insolvent
If Valpak ceases to trade, or becomes insolvent, enters into receivership or any similar or equivalent event occurs, those acting on behalf of Valpak may sell the business or parts of it to a third party, in fulfilment of legal or business requirements.
While it is unlikely, Valpak may be required to disclose your 'User Data' by a court order or to comply with other legal requirements. We will use reasonable endeavours to notify you before we do so, unless we are legally restricted from doing so. Valpak may also be required to disclose your 'User Data' if it is acting under a good faith belief that such action is necessary to protect the interests of its members or other qualified bodies.
Valpak complies with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Data Protection Principles set out in that Act in the collection and processing of personal information.
